Relay For Life:
Relay For Life is an overnight fundraising event where the entire community can participate in the fight against cancer. The power of Relay allows Adelphi to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember loved ones lost and to fight back by raising funds
and walking a track relay-style with your team throughout the night, serving as a representation of a cancer patient’s journey.
CSI and ACS will be holding committee meetings bi weekly on Fridays at 1:00pm in the Fall and every Friday at 1:00pm starting in the spring semester. Location
TBD. Committee members are permitted to miss up to three meetings.
Applying for an Event Leadership Position:
There are many ways to participate in Relay For Life. The most exciting and rewarding way is being a part of the Event Leadership Team. Planning for Relay For Life takes place months in advance to make the event bigger and better every year. Our Event Leadership
Team is comprised of many positions to accommodate many talents. Our mission is to have Relay For Life permeate through the Adelphi community and give every student, faculty, staff, and community member the opportunity to take part in the event.
Being part of the Event Leadership Team is a commitment we expect to be fulfilled 110%. If you have the heart and passion for the cause and follow through to contribute to the fight against cancer, then please proceed with filling out this application. Tri-Leads
attendance is mandatory at all meetings unless absence is approved by CSI staff members in charge of Relay.
Tri-leads are mandated to meet a minimum of a half hour after committee meetings with CSI staff members.
Applications are due by May 9th! Placement/Expectations meeting for everyone that completed an application will be on May 10th at 12pm in UC 211.
